FISD is hosting its first General Meeting in Asia, September 23 and 24 in at the Bloomberg Auditorium, 27/F Cheung Kong Center, 2 Queen's Rd. Central, Hong Kong. We view this as a very important meeting and an essential first step towards obtaining more consistent involvement with the Asian market data industry in our activities. We strongly encourage your active participation and attendance. There is no charge for FISD members to attend this meeting, however pre-registration is required.

Program Overview

The General Meeting will include presentations by staff on the status of all active FISD active projects (billing/reporting, VRXML, market data redistribution, reference data/ISO standards, MDDL/fisdMessage) as well as external speakers providing an analysis of the core trends affecting exchanges, vendors and user firms.

On September 24th FISD will host two working meetings.  The first (9:30 - 11:30) will focus on securities processing automation issues (reference data, ISO standards, MDDL, fisdMessage, instrument identification/symbology and business entity identification). The second (13:30-15:30) will focus on market data business related issues (billing/reporting, VRXML, redistribution, service level activities).

The working meetings are designed to be interactive - and offer participants an opportunity openly discuss design and implementation related issues associated with FISD projects. Members are also encouraged to bring new ideas and new project recommendations to the table for consideration by the Association.

Reception & Dinner

FISD will be hosting a reception directly following the General Meeting all are invited to attend. 

Dinner at the Peak: Thomson Financial has graciously offered to host a dinner at the Deco Cafe on the Peak.  Enjoy stunning views, excellent cuisine and lively company at this special event. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
