The following are a general definition of FISD meeting types:
General Meeting: Held quarterly in North America and
Europe to update members on the status of FISD activities, provide an
opportunity for member companies to report on new initiatives and allow
the FISD Consumer, Exchange & Vendor Constituency groups to discuss
issues of importance. A Networking Reception follows the meeting. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Issue Brief: 90 minute program for issue based discussion followed by a networking reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Local Meeting: Half-day program for the local financial
information industry. Program includes updates on FISD initiatives and
briefing from members. FISD members from around the globe are encouraged
to coordinate their business travel around these local programs. The program is followed by a networking reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Asia-Pacific Financial Information Conference (APFIC):
Biennial two-day program hosted in conjunction with Inside Market Data
featuring presentations and panels on financial information trends and
issues.
World Financial Information Conference (WFIC):
Hosted biennially, WFIC is the only global conference focused
exclusively on the issues associated with the dissemination, management
and use of financial information. Two and a half days of
educational sessions, meals and off-site networking events allow
attendees to interact in a neutral environment to develop better
communication with the major players in the market data industry.
Sessions include a combination of keynotes, panel discussions, case
studies and interactive presentations featuring cutting edge topics and
issues.
