•Just to put some additional context around my remarks – I am also the
founder and manager of the Reference Data Coalition (REDAC) an international
coordinating body working to define the data elements and standards necessary
to make global trade processing more efficient.
|
|
•FISD is also the originator and owner of the market data definition
language specification (or MDDL) –
|
|
•And last month, FISD became a direct liaison organization to ISO
TC68/SC4 as well as a participant on the new Working Group 11
|
|
•My goal with this presentation is to give you my assessment of the
status of standards activities – where we are, where we are going, the
drivers behind the industry-wide movement toward standardization, how I think
the process works and some of the obstacles to standardization – of which
there are a lot.
