The FISD has joined with major industry associations ISITC Europe, Fix Protocol & Twist to create a Joint Working Group to address the compliance requirements created by the EU’s Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). Chris Pickles, Co-Chair of the FIX Protocol Global Education & Marketing Committee and a member of the FISD Executive Committee, will serve as Chair of the Joint Working Group.  The JWG is organized into 5 working groups:
 
   *Best Execution Subject Group, Dr. Anthony Kirby,co-Chair
   *Cross Jurisdiction Subject Group, Alan Jenkins, Chair
   *Protocol Standards Subject Group, Marcus Hooper, co-Chair, Simon Leighton-Porter, co-Chair
   *Real-Time Market Data Group, Chair, Tom Davin, FISD 
   *Reference Data Subject Group, Dr. Anthony Kirby, Chair

The Real-Time Market Data Group will focus on the real-time data publishing, consolidation, delivery, administration, billing, contracts, permissioning, IPR, etc issues affected by MiFID.

Any FISD member is eligible to participate on any working group.  Contact Nicki Hunt to be placed on the list.
